About me

I am a cement mason at my job. Modern Realty entails smoothing, finishing surfaces of houses and buildings, I use power tools and hand tools like floats, trowels and screeds. All basic cementing jobs are my specialty. I have been employed at Modern Realty for a year now. Before this job, I have been employed with several companies. I worked as a carpenter early 90's at Spieth Realty. It was an entry job at first and I worked from house to house, building quality homes.

I worked there for 3 years and then I practiced my painting skills as well, I have to upgrade my skills in order to get a higher pay for me and my family. I worked as a painter/carpenter at Miller Realty. I was paid well and have performed job responsibilities as a painter; I basically used tools like a spay gun or a brush in painting all types of painting products. I paint practically all types of surfaces, be it buildings, furniture, houses, concrete walls and wood. I also repaint, match and blend and contrast colors.  Basically as a carpenter, I do all carpentry jobs and I have done many houses .I have worked at Prudential for 8 years until now that I am working for Modern Realty.

My years of work have given me the confidence in my skills and I am truly glad that these companies have trusted me in my work and I have also delivered through hard work and perseverance.

Education:

Life was not that abundant but my parents worked hard to put me to a good school. I finished only until high school at Jefferson Area Junior High; I was more of an achiever in the basketball court. I was the point guard of our varsity team. I did not have the resources to go to college so I decided to work right away in order to sustain my financial obligations.

Family:

I married my high school sweetheart after we graduated, we have now 2 kids and life has been good, so far. My kids are on the 3rd and 4th grade and my husband was recently laid off and taking care of the kids My parents now live in New Jersey but we visit them during the holidays.

Things I like:

When I was younger, we would go fishing with my dad, now I try to bring my family to picnics and parks when we have time, our favorite is at Rock Creek Park. Watching movies is also a treat for us. I like Action films from Arnold Schwarzenegger to Jet Li, to Mission Impossible movies.
